Pecan Pie


8 inch pie shell
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

Cream the butter and brown sugar.  Beat in the eggs one at a time. 

Stir in the pecans, vanilla, syrup, and salt. 

Fill the pie shell with this mixture. 

Spread pecan halves on the top. 

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes.
